About B.Sc Nursing

Nursing is a noble profession dealing with care of sick and ailing patients is a combination of many skills. It is the largest occupation in health care sector. Duties and responsibilities of nurses depend on their qualification and work experience. At initial level they work for bedside patients while a senior level they are required to manage special group of people like psychiatric, pediatric, intensive care patients etc. Dispensing medication, keeping records of the patient’s progress, setting up and operating medical equipments, administration etc.. demand an active participation of these professionals.

About the Course

The duration of B.Sc. Nursing program under Adarsha College of Nursing is of Four-year full-time resident program focused on overall development of students executed by high qualified and experienced faculties. and the nursing course includes classroom learning and practical sessions. Facilities are provided to students for clinical experiences under the guidance of faculty in various clinical and community settings. The university exams are held annually. The course provides excellent career opportunities in the field of healthcare profession in the private and government sectors. After the completion, one can work as a nursing assistant, Hospital supervisor, Nursing Educator, Nurse manager etc..

Duration : 4 years

Qualification:

Intermediate/APOSS (10+2 pattern) orits equivalent examination with (Physics,Chemistry and Biology)and English is compulsory subject or 10+2 passed out from recognized board underAISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE/NIOS or other equivalent Board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Inter Vocational with Bridge course in Biological and Physical Sciences
OC – 45% marks in Science subjects
BC/SC/ST – 40% marks in Science subjects

Age: 17 years by December of year of admission

Qualifying Exam: Based on the marks scored in science subjects(PCB) in the Intermediate board examination or its equivalent examination.
